About Him
I have just retired, and am wanting to explore South Africa, especially the nature reserves, and am wanting an interesting and compatible travelling companion.
I am a somewhat eccentric, somewhat amusing, somewhat spiritual but not religious, intelligent, well-read. Live in Durban,
I am interested in the world and what is happening around us. Shocked, by much of what is happening in South Africa - "The Dream Deferred" runs the risk of becoming the "The Dream Destroyed." Sick of watching politicians sitting in their lofty mansions knitting with one needle!
Racist? No.
I find the world under the sea amazing. Ditto the sky at night and the universe as a whole. And being part of the first species known to appreciate it all. Wow!
Serious concerns / interests = global warming, destruction of rain forests, human overpopulation. I would like to make sure that Spaceship Earth remains habitable for our great-great-grand-children.
I read widely and have traveled quite a lot. Enjoy outdoors, the sea, the sky at night, reading, movies, ballet, theatre and some TV.
